This is a dark ruby red, slightly opaque wine with very nice blackberry fruit. The only flaw is it tastes a bit hot at 14.7% alcohol. Tannins are relatively soft for a young cabernet so you can drink it now but it should age nicely for 7 to 10 years.
Definitely a buy at $45.

This may be the best value in sparkling wines available today. It is crisp and clean with nice fruit and goes great with most food. It is made from 65% Chardonnay and 35% Pinot Noir.
As you may know, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay are the primary red and white grapes of Burgundy and two of the three official grapes of Champagne. They sweeten them and make sparkling wine in Champagne because the grapes are too thin and acidic to make a good still wine. Burgundy produces the finest Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays in the world. So even if a producer is buying bulk juice in Burgundy it has great potential for making a decent sparkling wine.
True, this can never replace a Billecart-Salmon Rose Champagne but for one fifth the price, it is a better value.
This is some serious grape juice. And it’s pink. $11.99 to $13.99
